Evidence-based sleep consultation founded in County Wexford, Ireland
No pressure. Just clarity.
At O'Suan Sleep, we believe better sleep begins with understanding the body.
Founder Ray Murphy developed the O'Suan Sleep System to remove the guesswork from mattress selection by combining handcrafted sleep systems with pressure-mapping insight.
The goal is simple, to help each person find the mattress that truly suits their body.

O'Suan Sleep was founded by Ray Murphy in County Wexford with one clear aim: to help people sleep better by matching the mattress to the individual.
After years of working with customers experiencing back pain, hip discomfort and restless sleep, Ray recognised that many mattresses were being chosen based on showroom feel rather than what the body actually needs. This led to the development of the O'Suan Sleep System — a configurable mattress and pillow system designed to support the body properly during sleep.
Unlike standard mattresses, the O'Suan system allows internal comfort layers to be adjusted to provide targeted support precisely where you need it.
No pressure. Just clarity.

My coaching combines sleep science, behavioural strategies, and my specialist expertise in pressure-mapping and spinal alignment. Everything is grounded in independent research carried out on the O'Suan Sleep system.
At our showroom we use pressure-mapping technology to help understand how the body interacts with different sleep surfaces. This allows us to identify areas of higher pressure around the shoulders, hips and lower back and guide the most suitable comfort configuration.

Instead of guessing, we can see how the body is supported during sleep.
The O'Suan Sleep system has also been examined through independent research. Studies involving O'Suan Sleep customers have been reviewed by Professor Andrew Coogan, Department of Psychology at Maynooth University, and Doctor John Collier, IT Consultant, Cork. Their work explored both how the sleep system interacts with the body and how customers' sleep experience improved over time.
